The Jerusalem Convention Bureau has launched a new, dedicated website aimed at convention and conference organisers. The website, for the first time, brings all of this unique city’s conference and event venues together in one place, and is designed to ease the search process for conference and event organisers from around the world.
The website provides information about suppliers in the conference field, as well as the many attractions in the city suitable for groups. Additionally, users are able to submit RFPs (Requests for Proposals) for venues and suppliers directly through the website.
The Jerusalem bureau says the city offers planners a unique mix of modernity and history, academic excellence, cutting edge tech advances and an epic backdrop to any conference or event.
CMW asked Anat Landa, director of the Jerusalem Convention Bureau, about the current security situation and its effect on conferencing in the city. She said: “After 7 October, 2023 all international conferences scheduled for the years ahead were cancelled, moved to different destinations or postponed. We did continue hosting local events and even in bigger numbers than before, as Jerusalem continued to operate regularly as the war took place mainly in the South and in the North of Israel.
“Since the ceasefire agreements, we are seeing more and more international conferences bookings starting, even for this year. (See some of the upcoming conferences here.)
“Despite the war, construction of new hotels in the city has continued. A new Intercontinental 5-star hotel with 237 rooms will be open in early 2026 and an additional 5-star hotel with 400 rooms at the entrance to the Old City will open later in 2026. These two hotels are in a prime location offering a conference centre with a ballroom and parallel session halls.
“We very much look forward to welcoming back the international conference community.”
