Western Australia has secured more than $250m in direct delegate expenditure for business events scheduled through to 2028, according to Business Events Perth. The secured events are expected to draw thousands of international delegates and generate significant economic benefits across the state.

BE Perth reports that success is anchored on four strategic pillars – expanding key markets, cultivating new opportunities, enhancing global market share and fostering economic diversification. The region’s event success is designed to not only boost immediate economic returns but also ensure sustainable growth by integrating with the State’s broader economic objectives.

Notable international conferences and events secured and hosted include: 9th Congress of the International Society for Applied Phycology (2027) International Conference on Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT-18) (2026) World Environmental Education Congress (2026) Routes Asia (2025) World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit (2024) 22nd International Conference on Campylobacter, Helicobacter & Related Organisms (2024) 30th Anniversary of Perfect China (2024) Asia-Pacific Association for International Education Conference (2024)

These events will bring, and some have already brought, international delegates to Perth and regional Western Australia, boosting local businesses and the visitor economy.
