International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has earned acclaim for its wine in the 2025 New South Wales (NSW) Sommelier’s Wine List Awards. The Australian venue was awarded for its ‘exceptional showcasing’ of premium local wines, an effort led by ICC Sydney’s food and beverage manager and sommelier, William Wilson.

The awards were presented by the NSW Wine Industry Association and Destination NSW and the Sydney venue took the category accolade for the 2025 Best NSW Wine List in a Caterer or Functions Venue.

ICC Sydney serves 100% local NSW wines to millions of event attendees across the venue each year and, since opening in December 2016, the venue has facilitated the distribution of more than 400,000 bottles of local wine at events and directed over A$77m towards NSW food and wine producers. The venue’s contribution to regional suppliers is estimated for FY2024/25 to reach A$9.8m in direct expenditure for NSW food and beverage suppliers.

ICC Sydney CEO, Adam Mather-Brown said: “At ICC Sydney we’re proud to showcase the exceptional produce of our state. By sourcing our wines through local supply chains, we’re not only crafting a premium experience for our delegates but also supporting the communities that make regional NSW so vibrant.”

Wilson added: “Our focus has always been on creating an exceptional experience for every guest – whether they’re attending a gala dinner or enjoying a live entertainment event in our theatres, we want them to enjoy some of the finest wines our state has to offer.”

The accolade represented the fourth time ICC Sydney has won in its category. The NSW Sommelier’s Wine List Awards were announced at a gala function held at NSW Parliament House on 27 May 2025.
