Thynk, the Salesforce-powered commercial platform for the hospitality sector, has appointed event industry veteran Fred Lazzerini as board advisor for event venues, underscoring the company’s ambitions to scale its specialist venue solution globally. With more than 20 years of experience spanning venue operations and technology, including leadership roles at GL Events and nearly two decades in venue tech deployment, Lazzerini brings a dual lens to Thynk’s mission of empowering complex venues with smarter sales and event execution tools.

Thynk has seen growing traction among large-scale venue operators, powering events at leading facilities such as World Trade Centre Rotterdam by Postillion and Maritim’s network of conference hotels and convention centres across Germany. The platform’s integrated solution – built natively on Salesforce – combines dynamic space management, CRM-driven client handling, and real-time analytics to help venue teams centralise operations, boost conversion and deliver streamlined, data-informed experiences.

“Fred’s understanding of what it takes to run high-performing venues, and how to solve their operational challenges with purpose-built technology, will help us double down on our offering to global venue operators,” said Pascal Petit, CEO and Co-Founder of Thynk. “It’s an exciting time of growth and innovation for our platform.”

Commenting on his new role, Lazzerini noted: “Having worked on both the venue and tech sides, I’ve seen first-hand the friction points that stand in the way of efficiency. Thynk’s unified approach really addresses those pain points with precision. I’m thrilled to help more venues tap into that potential.”

Thynk has garnered industry attention for its AI-powered sales tools, award-winning user experience, and seamless integrations with partners such as Cvent, helping venues manage complex event lifecycles – from inquiry to execution – on one central platform. The appointment reinforces Thynk’s continued investment in venue-specific innovation at a time when operators are demanding smarter, scalable solutions that support growth without complexity.
