Minneapolis event production company EideCom has doubled its headquarters from 20,000 to 41,000sqft in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Construction was completed at the end of May 2025. The expansion accommodates a massive $6m equipment investment comprising over 700 pieces including LED walls, lighting fixtures, video switchers and laptops.
From the brink of collapse
The expansion marks a striking transformation. EideCom has turned from near-collapse during the pandemic to high levels of growth. CEO Charles Eide called the pandemic’s onset “the scariest moment of my life” as live events shut down and millions in contracts evaporated.
Instead of folding, EideCom pivoted, developing SecondStage, an online virtual events platform, beginning work in April 2020 and producing its first virtual event by October 2020. The company managed to stay afloat and is now on a solid trajectory.
Larger facility to support growth
The larger facility supports EideCom’s diversified business divisions: core audiovisual production, creative services, hybrid events and Blackhawk Event Logistics (EideCom’s nationwide trucking company for custom event projects). The expansion adds truck bays to enhance logistics capabilities. Interestingly, the hybrid events constitute the fastest-growing division at EideCom.
EideCom now handles events with budgets ranging from $20,000 to $2m, with a sweet spot between $100,000 and $1m. Recent high-profile productions include Minnesota Vikings draft parties, corporate conferences for major brands and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota events for up to 1,600 attendees. The company previously produced a Knights of Columbus program at World Youth Day 2016 in Poland, attended by Pope Francis.
CEO and founder of EideCom Charles Eide attributed the success to his team. “You can’t make it in this business unless you have the best people,” he said.
