Event, marketing and hospitality technology solutions provider Cvent, and the New Zealand Events Association (NZEA), have announced an expansion of their partnership.
As the official registration partner for NZEA’s Eventing the Future 2026, Cvent will power the registration experience. The association’s flagship annual conference takes place 4–5 August 2026 in Auckland.
While NZEA previously used Cvent for smaller-scale events such as webinars and seminars, this deployment marks a significant step up.
The announcement comes alongside the release of Cvent’s New Zealand Event Industry Outlook 2026, a market-specific thought leadership report co-developed with NZEA and built on Censuswide research surveying 100 senior event planners, marketers, and decision-makers from New Zealand. The research signals a sector leaning into live events with conviction: 99% of organisations rate B2B live event spending as a high or essential organisational priority; 82% are already using AI to plan, design, manage, and/or market their events; and 94% have a sustainability target for the events they have hosted or will host in 2026.
“New Zealand’s business events sector enters 2026 with real confidence, and the data proves it,” said Jack Ukil, country head, Cvent Australia. “In a world where AI can generate almost anything, the value of showing up in person has never been higher… Our expanded partnership with NZEA puts that conviction into action. Bringing Cvent’s full, AI-powered platform to Eventing the Future means NZEA can set a new standard for professionally delivered events in New Zealand.”
