BESarawak CEO Jason Foo appointed ICCA Asia Pacific Chapter chair

An historic first for Sarawak. Jason Tan Chin Foo will lead ICCA's Asia Pacific Chapter from 2026 to 2028.

Jason Tan Chin Foo, CEO of Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) in Malaysia, has been appointed chair of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Asia Pacific Chapter for the 2026–2028 term. He is the first Sarawakian to lead the regional chapter.

“I’m honoured to be appointed as ICCA Asia Pacific chair. My aspiration is to build a stronger, more connected and inclusive Asia Pacific Chapter where collaboration becomes our greatest strength,” said Tan Chin Foo. “Together, we will share knowledge, elevate professional standards and champion sustainable development to create a more resilient business events industry that delivers lasting value for our members, our destinations and our communities.”

The BESarawak CEO also expressed sincere appreciation to Jane Vong Holmes, senior manager – Asia Pacific at GainingEdge and immediate past chair of the ICCA Asia Pacific Chapter, for her outstanding leadership and dedicated service.

ICCA represents more than 1,000 member organisations across over 100 countries and territories through its six regional chapters – Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, Latin America & the Caribbean, Middle East, and North America.
