The UK’s ACC Liverpool celebrated its 10th birthday year at its annual Showcase in London.
The venue invited guests to the iconic Abbey Road Studios to mark the milestone anniversary.
Around 100 attendees in the association, corporate and exhibition sectors, along with agency representatives and entertainment and sport promoters, attended the event from a variety of organisations such as the Royal College of Nursing and BBC Worldwide.
ACC Liverpool was joined by 20 city partners at its 13th Showcase including Liverpool Convention Bureau, Liverpool Football Club and the Royal Albert Dock.
Guests recorded a rendition of the Beatles hit ‘With a Little Help from My Friends’, and took away their own CD as a memento of the evening. They also watched a video of famous Liverpool figures – from Hollywood actor Stephen Graham to LFC manager Jurgen Klopp to Spice Girl Mel C – wishing the venue a happy 10th birthday.
Bob Prattey, chief executive of The ACC Liverpool Group, said: “2018 has been a special year for us as we celebrate a decade since we opened our doors for the first time, and hosted the opening event of the Capital of Culture celebrations.
“Since then we have been honoured to host so many incredible events. The Showcase in London was a thank you to our clients and industry colleagues for bringing so many wonderful conferences, exhibitions, music and sporting events to our venue and an opportunity to look forward to the next 10 years and beyond.
