UAE – The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) shortlisted over 100 UAE nationals for job interviews as a result of the recent Tawdheef recruitment show held at its venue. Firm employment offers also went to three candidates as the key local employer responds to the ‘emiratisation’ policy initiative of the UAE’s Tawteen Council.
The three new employees will assume key positions in the marketing, visitor relations and venue operations departments.
ADNEC MD H.E. Ali Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, says: “Under the directives of H.E. Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of ADNEC, a continued focus on promoting emiratisation is at the heart of our business operations nationally and globally. This is aimed at developing distinguished leaders within the rapidly growing MICE industry.”
He added that UAE Nationals had already made a stellar contribution to ADNEC’s success and expressed confidence that the new talent identified at Tawdheef would play a key role in ADNEC’s growth in the coming years.
ADNEC has achieved 30 per cent emiratisation among positions identified as being suitable for nationals within the company and has set the goal of increasing this to 35 per cent by the end of the year.
