London-based consultancy allpoints will support emerging event start-ups at IBTM World 2025.
Founder Max Fellows will serve as special advisor, lead consultant partner and judge for the new Ignite: BeFuture Start-Up Pitches, taking place from 18–20 November at Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
The competition will feature 36 entrepreneurs from across Europe pitching for funding and mentorship.
Fellows has helped curate the event, align investors, and shape its structure. Finalists will face a live Q&A before one is named IBTM Ignite Innovator of the Year. Others will gain international exposure and potential collaboration opportunities within the allpoints innovation network.
The initiative aims to build a new community of investors and innovators focused on the future of events. Fellows will host the programme, drawing on his experience in event tech, experience design and scalable innovation.
The pitches will highlight technologies and solutions for the event and experience economy. Areas include AI-driven engagement, sustainability, hybrid formats and data-led creativity.
allpoints’ involvement reflects its focus on helping founders develop commercially viable products for the MICE and hospitality sectors. The company supports innovation from concept to delivery, helping entrepreneurs bring ideas to market.
Fellows said: “We believe in doers, not dreamers. The founders taking risks, moving fast, and proving that the future belongs to those who act with purpose. It’s a privilege to be part of this unprecedented event that will shape the future of the events industry.”
The collaboration between allpoints and IBTM World underlines a joint commitment to innovation and sustainability in the events sector. Both organisations see collaboration and new technology as key to industry growth.
