Amsterdam’s Hotel Okura receives leading hotel award

The Hotel Okura in Amsterdam has received the 2018 Netherlands’ Leading Business Hotel Award at the World Travel Awards.

The awards are voted on by travel and tourism officials as well as business and leisure travel consumers worldwide. They are aimed at stimulating innovation and creativity within the hospitality industry and encouraging hotels all over the world to improve the quality of their services.


The Hotel Okura Amsterdam is the Japanese chain’s only hotel in Europe and has 300 rooms. It is situated close to Amsterdam’s business district and the capital city’s main tourist attractions.

Emmy Stoel, general manager of the Okura, was proud to receive the award: “A pursuit of perfection drives us, and every detail, every action is rooted in achieving unsurpassable guest satisfaction. Through continuous renewal Hotel Okura maintains its leading position.”
