A venue in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, is seeing great results from automation. Hof Bissee has started to automate its quote generation during on-site visits – so that a process that used to take over an hour is now achieved in seconds.
Hof Bissee hosts weddings and private celebration, as well as B2B events like meetings and seminars. It is located in the remote farm village of Bissee. It is a sort of nature hideaway with premium venue infrastructure and farm animals.
The automation measure was reportedly brought in to tackle the issue of labour shortages. Hof Bissee was struggling to handle a high volume of inquiries with limited staff. They state that they have been pleasantly surprised by the results – the sales cycle has been drastically shortened and relationships with clients have become more “collaborative”.
Not just faster – quality of quotes has also improved
Banquet and event manager at Hof Bissee Jolante Winkler said: “The quality of our quotes has actually improved dramatically. When you’re calculating manually, you make mistakes. Prices get inconsistent. Options get forgotten. Now every quote is perfect.”
Operations manager Anna Zinke added that business has gone up since adding the new capability. “Since we introduced Eventmachine,” she said, “we have ramped up our business for weddings and private festivities,” says Anna Zinke, operations manager at Hof Bissee. “We’ll add quote automation for our B2B business like meetings and seminars this quarter also.”
Of course, time saved is also a major factor. Winkler said: “We had a busy Q4. If we had tried to write this number of offers manually, we would still not be finished today.”
The automation tool Hof Bissee used was Eventmachine.
