Mash Media has acquired the Office Management and PA Exhibition and Conference (OMPA) from Prysm Group.
The show, which has grown over the past two years and attracts over 3,000 PAs and office managers, will co-locate with Confex and the Event Production Show next February at Olympia London.
“With every PA now involved in running some kind of event, either external or internal, this is a really important audience for Confex and EPS and one that is growing exponentially,” says Mash Media Group MD Julian Agostini.
“The role of the PA has evolved at a rapid rate over the last 20 years and PAs are now pivotal in the success of most businesses.” Agostini added. “We want to recognise the increasing demands of this role and provide an event that reflects this.”
Mash Media, publisher of CMW, acquired the OMPA show from the fast growing exhibition organiser, Prysm, which has offices in London and Bristol. Over 13 years, Prysm has built an influential portfolio of 17 major shows both nationally and overseas.
Prysm MD Nick Moss said he was delighted that the OMPA show now had the opportunity to continue its growth with a company that shares his own company’s entrepreneurial culture and is clearly active in driving growth in the meetings, events and hospitality sector.
“This is great news coming during the National Events Month October (#NEMO) and we encourage industry professionals to get involved in the sector’s biggest trade show for UK professionals. With OMPA in the Confex portfolio, there is even more oomph to what promises to be another great event, showcasing the UK’s world-leading events industry,” says Mash Media Events Director, Liz Agostini.
Financial details of the acquisition deal have not been disclosed.
