Brussels open for business

Organising an event in Brussels is all about making connections. Connecting with the right suppliers, sponsors and speakers, as well as connecting with experts who understand your field of activity and connecting with all the advantages that the capital of Europe can offer you.

Even in this challenging time the official Brussels Convention & Association Bureau is there to support your project and guide you through the process, from planning and bidding to funding and welcoming your delegates.

Health and Safety Label – Eric Danhi

Brussels Health And Safety Label:

In order to enable the sector to reopen as safely as possible, the Brussels-Capital Region and visit.brussels have launched a Health & Safety Label, created in partnership with the global certification company SOCOTEC. It has the simple aim of providing national and international visitors with reassurance around the quality and safety of Brussels’ tourist infrastructure.

The protocol behind this label was created in close collaboration with tourism-sector federations and partners. It will evolve based on the National Security Council’s guidelines and must support the sector over the months to come.

Brussels is Open – Venues Are Ready To Go:

As part of the recovery fund granted by the Brussels Capital Region in 2020 to get the destination back on track, our venues took all the necessary measures to welcome you in a safe environment. They are also keeping on equipping themselves with state-of-the-art technologies for hybrid events.

The complete list of venues, hotels and events partners can be found via different tools available on our website such as:

  • Let’s Meet in Brussels is considered as “The” reference guide for MICE professionals and is now only available online. Its comprehensive content includes detailed info about 130 hotels, 200 venues, 50 incentive specialists, a variety of services (translators, transport, DMC, PCO, etc.) and the latest agenda of major events.
  • If you’d rather make a personalised search, our venue finder would be your best choice. That would allow you to find the right venue for your event according to your technical requirements.
  • Venues are now opened for site inspections, but for those who would prefer to get an idea of a particular venue while working from home, most of our venues are offering  video or virtual 3D tours of their event spaces. This might be just what you need to discover new places.

Brussels FAQ Toolkit For Events:

This recent period gave us the opportunity to think harder about answering very important questions about organising an event in Brussels. How many times did you find yourself in front of questions like “Do I have to pay VAT?”, “What kind of insurance should I take for my event?” or “Is it better to create an entity in Belgium for the time of the event?”. At visit.brussels, we provide you with the right answer to these questions via this practical toolkit.

Despite the uncertainty of the actual situation, visit.brussels is taking every possible effort to host your future events in a safe environment and is looking forward to seeing your smile, even behind the mask!
