The Business Travel Association (BTA) has announced, 9 August, a new partnership with global hotel booking technology specialist, HotelHub. The alliance aims to assist the BTA’s travel management company (TMC) members and partners to gain insight into optimising their hotel business strategy. Established in 2008, HotelHub gives users access to two million hotels worldwide and automates the entire hotel booking flow within one platform. HotelHub also includes an application programming interface (API) integrated with the business travel industry’s principle online booking tools. The partnership will give HotelHub access to the BTA’s shared consultancy services including industry insights, market updates, exclusive events, white papers and more. Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, said: “As the travel industry is finally able to move once more, it is crucial TMCs receive the support they deserve. That is why we are delighted to be working with HotelHub, who will help educate our loyal members and TMC partners on how to drive efficiencies and revenue from hotel bookings.” Eric Meierhans, chief commercial officer at HotelHub, said: “We are delighted to have formed this partnership with the BTA, whose dedication to business travel and TMCs reflects our own. Managing corporate hotel bookings, especially in the post-Covid era, will require a smart strategy and data-driven decisions to optimise traveller safety, budgets and CSR.”
