EUROPE – Italian meetings industry tradeshow BTC, closed with a total of 3,357 visitors.

The Exmedia organised event, held at Rimini Fiera, attracted 250 exhibitors, 214 Italian and international hosted buyers and 40 representatives of the press. A total of 5,436 appointments were held between exhibitors and hosted buyers during the two-day show.

Exmedia CEO, Paolo Audino, said: “We were satisfied overall with this edition of BTC.”

BTC will move to Florence for its 2013 event, where it will be hosted by the Fortezza da Basso Exhibition Centre from 12-13 November. The organiser hopes to relaunch and reposition the event for the future.

“This year was a transitional one for BTC, pending the project to restructure and reposition the show, which next year will return to the market with wider institutional, political and industry partnerships, and a new business model that is closer to the demands of a changing market,” added Audino.
