Clarity is integrating its ClarityGo travel booking platform with meetings management system MeetingsPro, allowing customers to book and manage travel and meetings through a single platform.
The travel management company said the move will connect the two systems and provide an end-to-end booking experience, including meetings with travel arrangements attached.
According to Clarity, more than 2m trips are booked through ClarityGo each year, alongside thousands of meetings managed through MeetingsPro.
Carl Law, chief technology officer at Clarity, said the integration is intended to address the separation that has traditionally existed between business travel and meetings management.
“Historically, meetings and business travel have been planned and managed through separate systems, which often results in creating unnecessary cost, duplicated effort, and a disjointed experience for travellers and organisers,” he said.
The company said the combined platform will give organisers visibility of meeting and travel costs from the point of booking, while supporting budgeting, reporting and duty of care requirements. Finance, HR and sustainability teams will also have access to consolidated management information.
The two systems will initially continue to operate alongside each other while development continues.
Clarity will showcase the connected platforms at The Business Travel Show and The Meetings Show on 24-25 June.
