WORLD – Paris-based meetings and event organiser Comexposium has acquired Mobile Motion, the largest mobile conference series in North America for an undisclosed sum.

Los Angeles-based Mobile Motion organises Mobile Media Summit events in the United States and Europe.

Paran Johar, the founder of the company, will remain its CEO.

Mobile Media Summits allow brand, agency and mobile leaders to share learnings and network on the newest mobile technology.

The network of conferences has been growing rapidly in Europe for the past two years, with shows in Barcelona, London and Cannes.

Mobile industry earnings forecast to leap 45 per cent between 2013 and 2020 (according to GSMA Intelligence), to reach a record high of US $2.9 trillion and this is a clearly booming market.

Comexposium says its investment in the sector should allow the group to add 10 international events to its portfolio.

Upcoming conferences include:

  • Mobile Media Summit @ Mobile World Congress, March 2015 in Barcelona
  • Mobile Media Summit Los Angeles, 7 April 2015
  • Mobile Media Summit @ NY Upfronts, 18 May 2015 in New York
  • Mobile Media Summit London, 16 June 2015.
