Connections has held the first edition of Connections Luxury Asia Pacific in Tokyo from 5-8 October 2025.

The event gathered 130 senior leaders from across the region for business meetings, networking, and cultural experiences. It was delivered in partnership with the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB).

The programme connected luxury event and travel buyers from Asia Pacific with international suppliers to build long-term business relationships.

Delegates visited several of Tokyo’s top venues, starting with a welcome reception at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu. Business sessions and experiences were held at the newly opened JW Marriott Tokyo, while evening functions took place at Fairmont Tokyo and Happo-en.

Connections is owned by Jacobs Media, headquartered in London. The Connections portfolio includes luxury travel-focused Connections Luxury, destination-focused Explore with Connections and cruise-based Connections Cruise.

Partners included TCVB, The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, JW Marriott Tokyo, Fairmont Tokyo, Happo-en, CRIL Privée & Cie., CLIA, Flywire, Marriott International, XO Private, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and Maison Kissako.

Attendees took part in cultural activities such as kimono dressing, geisha performances, whisky tastings, and sushi-making workshops. Experience partners included JW Marriott Tokyo, Flywire, Manchester City Football Club, and Maison Kissako.
