EUROPE – Preparations for Convene, the meetings industry exhibition that showcases the opportunities on offer in the Baltic Sea Region, are underway for its third installment on 11-12 February 2015.
Registration for Hosted Buyers and visitors is open for the show, organised by the Vilnius Convention Bureau, at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO, Vilnius.
The Baltic MICE trade show offers a fully Hosted Buyer programme which accommodates 160+ qualified buyers from Europe.
Exhibitors including convention bureaus, hotels, conference centres, special venues, DMCs, PCOs, specialist suppliers from Lithuania and seven other countries of the region (Latvia, Estonia, Poland,Russia Finland, Sweden, Belarus) will be showcasing their meeting products and services.
This year, members of the Hosted Buyer programme will benefit from complimentary air travel and accommodation at a Vilnius partner hotel, along with access to the full programme of Convene networking and hospitality events.
Additionally, they will have access to the familiarisation trips to countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Sweden.
“The Convene team has already submerged itself into inspirational work of developing Convene 2015 which promises to be as fabulous as ever. In 2015 we focus on quality which is number one priority,” Jolanta Beniuliene, Exhibition Director tells CMW.
“We expect to have only slightly bigger numbers compared to 2014 with 160 hosted buyers and 80 exhibitors. We plan to grow educational programme and deliver the content which is anticipared by participants.”
The bureau reported a 30 per cent increase in Hosted Buyers at its second edition earlier this year. The number of exhibitors also rose 20 per cent and held more than 3,100 meetings with pre-qualified hosted buyers from 26 countries.
A total of 150 Hosted Buyers attended the event. Twelve hosted buyers from the UK attended this year, compared to eight in 2013.
