Global hospitality company and venue operator Convene is celebrating a new venue expansion at its 101 Park Avenue property in Midtown Manhattan. The project adds a second floor to the location and grows the venue’s footprint to 23,800 square-feet and increases capacity to 583 people for meetings. The new mezzanine level offers a conference hall able to seat 223 delegates, with full theatrical lighting. Across its portfolio of nearly 40 locations, Convene says it has witnessed a 58% increase in demand for meetings and events for up to 200 guests. Convene 101 Park Avenue, situated close to Grand Central Station, opened in 2013 and was renovated in June 2022 before signing the expansion space in January 2023. The venue now comprises eight unique meeting rooms across two floors and a full buyout capacity of 583. Convene claims to be the largest single provider of dedicated meeting and event venues in the US and UK, boasting a network of nearly 40 premium meeting, event, and flexible workspace locations across its portfolio of brands, which includes etc.venues.
