CMW heads down Mexico meetings way to find how one high-end incentives specialist resort group is recognising new routes back to market.
Fiesta Americana Grand Meetings Mexico & Beyond comprises a set of destination resorts and hotel brands with 50 years of heritage. It continues to grow, with recent new openings in Tulum, Riviera Maya and Punta Cana and Dominican Republic.
The brand collection is also part of Grupo Posadas with its 180+ property options in 60 beach and city destinations in Mexico.
After a halt of operations due to the coronavirus pandemic, Fiesta Americana Grand Meetings Mexico & Beyond is once more open to business travellers offering experiences across some of Mexico’s most enchanting destinations.
The re-openings began back in June and launched back together with the organisation’s Travel with Confidence programme and Revival campaign, an important initial strategy that showcased the elevated safety and sanitisation protocols implemented across all properties.
Brighter days for recognition
With confidence slowly returning, Fiesta Americana Grand Meetings Mexico and Beyond’s Sales team is firmly into its sales stride, booking into the next two-year period and rolling out its new Recognition incentive travel programme curated for the individual keen to retain more personalisation and flexibility within an incentive package.
With clients seeking more value in this difficult trading climate, Recognition has also moved to extend the best group rates to individual travellers, who receive VIP check-in and status and complimentary VIP roundtrip airport transportation per certificate.
There are 20% discounts on all spa services and onthe public rates for additional bed nights for those wishing to extend.
“There is certainly a window now for locking in the added value on offer,” says senior vice-president of sales and marketing Fiesta Americana Hotels & Resorts/Posadas, David Manzella, who points out that any relinquished certificates may be applied to a future group, which will no doubt keep the procurement guys happy.
“Now is the time to buy in to lock in the best rates,” he adds, while acknowledging the pandemic has meant a tough first quarter and plenty of challenges, but says his team has moved beyond the period of cancellations and postponements and is now operating programmes again. Properties in Cancun and Yucatan have seen incentive groups of up to 40 from the US from July, Manzella says.
Manzella says the whole industry supply chain in the region is keen to move forward again together, not just the destinations and venues, but the many third parties so dependent on the revival of this important sector.
Around 35 of the Fiesta Americana venues have now been organised to form two Collections – Resort and City – that serve the meetings and incentives market.
It could just be a time to Recognise this fact and take advantage of new flexible attrition, cancellation and rebooking terms, along with the additional incentives on offer.
