Meetings Professionals International holds its European Meetings and Events Conference, in Brighton, 27 February –1 March 2022. The association makes its pitch below:
It’s a big ask for anyone to accurately predict the future of events.
Many have tried with varying degrees of success. But what if we could have direct influence on the future? What if we could find, study, and interpret signs and indicators and take specific actions to create the future outcomes we desire?
In a world where things happen either by accident or by design, we have an obligation and opportunity to actively imagine and create our own destiny – and the destiny of our business. Nowhere is this more possible than in the events world.
We can clearly see an industry on the cusp of renaissance and rebirth. An emerging new value proposition is taking form. There’s a need to understand in-person experiences, digitally re-enabled audiences and innovative event technologies. An increasing importance on purpose and sustainability, new event design approaches, and wellbeing as a component of experience – all amid a changing business landscape – will all undoubtedly impact our future.
That’s where EMEC comes in.
The European Meetings and Events Conference, now in its 33rd year, is built by Europeans for Europeans and serves as an industry incubator for innovative thinking that is designed and informed by the event’s destination.
Distractions beware! EMEC Brighton’s collaboration-focused programming and networking will engage and activate your senses to learn and engage in the present, with fellow planners and suppliers from across Europe. The goal? A connected industry of professionals creating solutions for future events that move people, and our planet, forward.
