Cvent has outlined three industry priorities at its annual CONNECT Europe conference 2025: navigating economic uncertainty, embracing artificial intelligence, and leveraging event-led growth strategies.
Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Cvent, told attendees that despite inflation, geopolitical conflicts and shifting tariffs, optimism in the events industry is at a five-year high. “Our industry has proven to be incredibly resilient,” he said. “Real progress comes from looking beyond the headlines and focusing on what truly matters: building relationships, creating impact and maintaining a long-term vision.”
Cvent now has more than 5,000 employees and 25,000 customers globally.
Aggarwal described AI as “a monumental shift on a scale unlike anything we’ve seen before” and introduced CventIQ, the company’s suite of AI-powered tools embedded across its platform.
New tools include Session Snapshots, which delivers live transcripts, audio snippets and slide captures to attendees; Session Insights, which provides automated summaries of session feedback; an AI Response Assistant to help hotels answer RFPs faster; and an AI 3D Event Designer for generating venue layouts and lighting simulations.
“AI is about redefining productivity, not replacing creativity,” said Aggarwal. “It is a force multiplier, helping deliver exponential outcomes while enabling industry professionals to focus on the critical strategic and human-led aspects of their work.”
Cvent also launched Cvent Essentials, a tool for managing small repeatable events such as VIP dinners and executive roundtables at scale. Teams can set up events in minutes with minimal training.
The company is enhancing its webinar platform to engage video-first audiences including Gen Z and Millennials.
“In a digital-first world, human connection isn’t just a nice-to-have it’s our industry’s greatest advantage,” said Aggarwal. “The future may be digital-first, but it will always be human-led.”
