Scott Hyden has joined RoomIt, CWT’s hotel division, as senior vice-president and chief experience officer. Hyden starts on 12 February, based out of RoomIt’s new Chicago HQ, and reports to David Falter, the division’s newly-appointed president.
Hyden’s new role includes providing strategic leadership over RoomIt product and distribution channels and the user experience. Additional tasks incorporate increasing customer retention and improving operational efficiency.
Prior to joining RoomIt, Hyden was global vice-president of the Enterprise Customer Group for Travelport. He also previously led Travelport’s business in the Americas and grew the company’s global online results.
Before joining Travelport, Hyden was president of STA Travel Inc. and held general manager roles for Travelocity Business, where he oversaw all aspects of Travelocity’s global corporate agency offering, and Travelweb, where he was responsible for strategic and tactical initiatives associated with product development, online and offline marketing, and quality assurance. He also spent 10 years with American Airlines.
