The Danish meeting design concept, Meetovation, was re-launched worldwide yesterday (2 May) as Meetovation 3.0 following an enhancement which includes a new Meetovation manifesto, a stronger focus on educating more people across Denmark, and a new website.

The new manifesto aims to look beyond the meeting itself and takes a look at value creation at meetings, while also contributing more hands-on advice and cases on how to think strategic with meeting design.

Steen Møller, head of the Meetovation committee, and Business Events Denmark, said: “In Meetovation 3.0 there is an increased focus on value creation for the meeting organiser with emphasis on creating behaviour changes in the participants.

“We’ve already got more than 300 Meetovators and offer Meetovated meetings in Denmark, but we want to make it available at as many locations as possible. We have initialised an education process for our Meetovation partners. In the longer term, the aim is to educate many more certified Meetovators across the country.”

Møller explained the need for updating the meeting design concept: “The meetings industry is in constant change. We’re constantly becoming more professional, innovative and knowledge-based, and it is crucial to take into account everything that is happening both digitally and within face-to-face meetings.”

The Meetovation campaign led by Business Events Denmark is also supported by partners, including Wonderful Copenhagen CVB, Scandic Hotels, Carlson Rezidor, Comwell Hotels, BC Hospitality Group, Inspiring Denmark, VisitAalborg, and VisitAarhus, who have all contributed to the development of the meeting design concept.
