Mash Media’s Digital Event News portfolio of magazine, website and awards programme has won Launch of the Year at the UK’s PPA Independent Publisher Conference & Awards. The ceremony was held, 26 November, at etc.venues 133 Houndsditch in London, UK. The PPA judging panel commented that it was “truly inspiring to see such innovation in the face of adversity. Mash Media provided incredible support and showed true dedication to the events industry during an exceptionally challenging time. A very timely and clever launch, developing a range of products to support those moving to virtual events during the pandemic.” Duncan Siegle, portfolio director at Mash Media, said: “Our remit as a company has always been to support the entirety of the events industry so when planners were forced online by the global pandemic, it was an easy decision to step-up and provide a new portfolio of media products that could help them to up-skill and discover the growing array of digital technology suppliers entering this space. “The Digital Event News website, quarterly print publication, awards programme and our latest addition – the DEN Tech Summit, continue to go from strength to strength and this award is testament to all the hard work from a talented and fantastic team.”
