ASIA – The new hotel management joint venture company between the Thailand-headquartered Dusit International and Chinese-based Changzhou Qiao Yu Group, Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts, has opened a new property in China (23 July).
DusitD2 Fudu Binhu Hotel Changzhou is based in Jiangsu Province and marks Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts’ first project in China.
The hotel is housed in a gem-like structure, offering floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking an adjacent lake. The property has three dining outlets and caters to conference and event planners with a 518sqm pillar-free Grand Ballroom, four multi-function rooms and a 100sqm foyer.
It is located 30 minutes from Changzhou Benniu Airport and Railway Station, 15 minutes from downtown Wujin. Local areas of interest range from the ancient archaeological ruins of Chunqiu Yancheng to the digital amusement park World of Joyland.
“We are proud to present DusitD2 Fudu Binhu Hotel Changzhou, the first of many properties to come under the Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts management company,” says Chen Li Bin, Chairman of Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts.
The management company, whose head office is scheduled to open later this month, expects to operate at least 30 properties throughout China within the next three years, focussing on mid-tier and deluxe projects. Its major shareholders include Dusit International, Changzhou Qiao Yu Group and hospitality veteran Giovanni Angelini, former CEO of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
