Europalco delivered projection mapping across 192 dining tables for insurer Generali Tranquilidade’s annual gathering at Lisbon’s MEO Arena. To mark the occasion, the Portuguese supplier also delivered one of Europe’s largest indoor drone shows.
The event, produced by agency 2 Inspire, required 55 Europalco specialists and 1,700 cubic metres of equipment transported in 20 trucks. The company handled audio, lighting, video, rigging, staging and projection mapping for nearly 2,000 attendees.
Each of the 192 round tables, measuring 1.8m in diameter, was vinyl-wrapped in-house to ensure projection uniformity. A total of 30 projectors created synchronised visuals across the dining area.
The main display featured two 37m x 10m projection surfaces and two additional 30m x 10m screens, powered by eight Christie 30K projectors. A 100-drone light show was integrated into the broader visual narrative by external partner Ignition Concept.
Europalco used its exclusive L-Acoustics L2 line array system – the only such setup in Portugal – for audio coverage. Lighting included Zonda 9 FX, BMFL Blade, Wildsun 500, and Ayrton Diablo fixtures.
“Our focus is always on designing environments that align with the client’s message and objectives,” said Pedro Magalhães, founder and chief executive of Europalco. “This event combined visual storytelling with technical integration at scale, and that’s where our team excels.”
The 28-year-old company, based in Lisbon with additional facilities in Porto and Algarve, is one of southern Europe’s largest events solutions providers. MEO Arena is Portugal’s largest indoor multi-purpose stadium.
