Delegates attending conferences in the Big Apple can experience ‘living like a local’ with the launch of Localike New York, a new, personalised travel service.
The service includes the creation of personal itineraries using insider knowledge, which the founders claim, are not found in guidebooks or online.
The Localike team claims to be able to provide exclusive access and opportunities to meet the people they say make the city tick.
Business travellers pressed on time to complete a personal profile can choose a Localike Selection itinerary. These offer a time-sensitive, curated set of experiences under themes including shopping, restaurants or rooftops, to arts and culture or night life.
An itinerary may feature a Japanese restaurant that doesn’t publish its phone number, a hipster coffee bar, an original New York speakeasy or a tour around a private park in Manhattan where access is only granted to the residents of the adjacent buildings.
Localike New York says it provides a rare insider’s perspective along with the practical tips needed, from opening hours and access, to what to expect and how to combine and enhance experiences in the city.
Sara Teckenburg from Localike New York tells CMW: “Strained business travellers take trips to many exciting cities but might end up only seeing the inside of congress halls and conference rooms. Localike New York provides customised and truly local experiences that let delegates see their personal best-of a city they came far to see: the perfect combination of business and leisure. Combining networking with a memorable experience of the hidden New York City is an unbeatable tool in relationship building.”
