EUROPE – International hotel group Fairmont Hotels and Resorts is set to open its first hotel in Eastern Europe, the Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv.
Located in the heart of the Ukraine capital’s historic Podil district, Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv joins a growing portfolio of Fairmont hotels in Europe, including the soon-to-open Fairmont Baku in Azerbaijan.
The Kyiv-based hotel features 258 rooms, including 54 suites as well as Royal and Presidential suites, offering views of Podil Square and the Dnipro River. The hotel also offers a fully equipped business centre with 24-hour access as well as secretarial services.
For meetings and events, the hotel offers 1,210sqm of meeting and function space, including a 480sqm ballroom and eight private dining rooms.
In addition, the hotel features Fairmont Gold, the brand’s exclusive hotel within a hotel, which offers the highest levels of service and additional privileges and amenities such as a private reception desk and a comfortable guest lounge.
The hotel opens in time for the city’s hosting of the UEFA European Football Championship, which runs from 8 June – 1 July 2012, drawing football enthusiasts from across the continent.
The final match will take place in the city’s Olympic Stadium, guaranteeing alleyes will be on Kyiv.
