Key meetings industry show for Latin America, Fiexpo, is set to make its 2022 return and celebrate its 15th anniversary with a new face-to-face edition in Panama. Fiexpo will welcome over 200 qualified hosted buyers and exhibitors,13-16 June, from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Foz do Iguaçu, Guatemala, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. Hotel chains and specialised suppliers from the entire value chain of the meetings and incentives industry will also be represented. Participants will have the opportunity to access a top-level academic exchange with industry leaders selected jointly with industry associations MPI, SITE, ICCA, UFI, PCMA, Destinations International and COCAL. The speakers will address important thematic issues such as the impact of strategies in the era of sustainability, the industry’s incorporation of disruptive technologies and the impact of crypto and NFTs. Other themes on the agenda include mindfulness in the post-pandemic era and the implementation of business development strategies amid major geopolitical changes. Additionally, ICCA members will have a chance to train and participate in a specially designed educational programme. Young professionals will be able to participate in the Fiexpo & ICCA Next Generation Summit, a forum where the main issues addressed will be recruiting and retaining new talent. A Convention Bureau One Day Challenge will be co-organised with Destinations International. It will offer participants a high-level theoretical framework where international leaders will address issues of relevance to destinations, together with a framework where they can implement the knowledge acquired. The Latin American and International Professional Associations Forum will target management of associations and congress organisers through an open exchange of information among its members. The 9th Latin American Politician’s Forum on the meetings industry will convene ministers and authorities from key industry associations and will discuss, among other topics, destination branding and investment and promotion as a key to success for attracting events. Another new element in this edition of the show will be the first SITE Ibero America Meet, which will seek to promote exchange of business between professionals from Ibero-America.
