Global meetings industry consulting company GainingEdge and its CEO Jon Sivertson (pictured) have issued a joint announcement that Sivertson is to leave the company at the end of February 2024. The company’s senior partner, Mike Williams, is currently serving as acting CEO until a new permanent one can be appointed. GainingEdge’s executive chairman, Gary Grimmer, expressed the company’s appreciation for Sivertson’s contributions to the company’s success. “We are sorry to see Jon leave. He led us through the challenges presented by the Covid global pandemic and helped us make this last year the best-ever results in our 20-year history.” Grimmer said. “We will miss Jon and wish him every success in his future endeavours.” Sivertson said: “I’ve greatly enjoyed the work I’ve done at GainingEdge, and the great people we have that makes the company such a powerful force in our business. I’ll greatly miss GainingEdge, but I am also looking forward to the new challenges I have set for myself.” An active search for a new CEO is underway and anyone seeking to express interest in the position should contact GainingEdge partner Bruce Redor at bruce@gainingedge.com.
