GL events awarded major Winter Olympics 2026 contract
Integrated event solutions and services group, GL events has signed a contract to provide services for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter and Paralympic Winter Games. The company says the deal represents projected sales of more than €130m.
GL events was selected by the Organising Committee for the Games, to be held in February and March, 2026, to provide overlay services for 20 Olympic and Paralympic venues spread across three hubs in Milan, Cortina and Bormio. As the Prime Contractor, the Group will produce technical studies, install the sites, and provide overlay services to welcome athletes and spectators from around the world.
GL events teams will be deployed at venues such as the Santa Giulia Arena in Milan for the ice hockey and para ice hockey competitions; Predazzo for the skiing and Nordic combined events, and Cortina d’Ampezzo for the women’s alpine skiing competitions.
