GM appointed to boost new DMO Visit Stellenbosch

Wine and tourism industry stakeholders in Stellenbosch, South Africa, have been brought under one new destination marketing organisation, under the leadership of newly appointed General Manager Jeanneret Momberg.

Momberg has 25 years’ experience with the local wine and tourism sector, most recently as GM of Middelvlei Wines and Deputy Chair of Stellenbosch Wine Routes, and will be charged with marketing Destination Stellenbosch as a leading tourism and experience centre in the Western Cape.

“I am excited to bring together all our stakeholders to leverage their respective strengths for the mutual promotion of the destination,” said Momberg.

Mayor of Stellenbosch Gesie van Deventer, added that the strategic alignment of stakeholders under the Visit Stellenbosch umbrella brand would enhance the region’s image both nationally and internationally and help to unlock the destination’s tourism potential, including business tourism.
