UK-based Halo Solutions has announced that its crowd management platform, the Halo System, will introduce new safety features for venues to ensure the safety of delegates. The platform is set to introduce the new 75 new incident and threat management features on 9 January. According to Halo Solutions, the version five updates include new APIs for the whole system; a document library for providing instant staff access to risk assessments and protocols; a new Bulletin Board for ejections and risky individuals; a new dashboard and upgraded mapping integrations. Halo Solutions have also stated that the system will also introduce four additional modules, including:

  • Crowd management for monitoring monitor crowds from CCTV feeds, using smart overlays and AI.
  • Accreditation: the ability to create digital access passes (available to print) that prove identity, linked to the UK Government Passport and Driving License databases.
  • A sustainability module, to monitor the impact of venues and operations, with meta-analysis metrics including waste, water, electricity and gas usage.
  • Live video integration including drones, CCTV, and mobile devices.

Halo Solutions additionally explained that its original system was used at 1,800 events in 2022, such as including concerts, conferences, festivals and marathons. At these events, Halo Solutions saw 650,000 tasks and event checks and 74,000 incidents were logged through the system.
