UK-based event tech company HeadBox has developed a hybrid audit to “ensure event venues are hybrid-ready once live events are allowed to return”.
The audit, developed in partnership with UK-based event management company Wise Productions, consists of a questionnaire for venues to fill in to ensure they have the basics in place to run hybrid events.
Venues will then have the option to have an in-depth assessment and, if needed, Wise Productions will provide training, support and equipment to ensure that the venue is ready to run hybrid events. The team has also created a range of ‘plug and play’ packages to support venues on a per-event basis depending on the needs of the event.
CEO of HeadBox, Andrew Needham, said: “We believe that even though digital is here to stay, when live events return, the future will very much be a hybrid one. So we see there being an increasing demand for events that combine in-person and virtual to create one seamless experience that is wide-reaching, engaging and more sustainable. Once that demand returns, it will be essential that venues have the capability to deliver hybrid events. Many venues haven’t been able to open since March last year. When restrictions ease, and venues are able to run events again, we want to make sure they are in the best position possible to hit the ground running.”
George Foden, director of events at Wise Productions, added: “We’ve all had to adapt to online events and I think the same will be true for hybrid events. Creating broadcast-quality events is something we’re very passionate about and we want to make sure venues have the capability to offer that to their clients.”
