IBTM has announced details of its Knowledge Programme for its first-ever IBTM Americas event in Mexico City, 5–6 September 2018.
As the newest event in IBTM’s global MICE portfolio, IBTM Americas’ Knowledge Program is aimed at event planners and buyers looking to stay ahead of trends and learn about the industry’s hot topics in the emerging South, Central and North American meetings and events market.
David Hidalgo, show director, IBTM Americas, said: “We know that education is a major draw for attendees, especially in growing markets like ours, and we’ve worked hard to create a schedule of CPD-accredited content that is fresh and relevant to our attendees.”
Over 1,000 event planners and buyers from across North America, Latin America and Europe are anticipated to attend, with international exhibitors hailing from Dominican Republic, Peru, Jamaica, Cuba, Portugal, France, Czech Republic, Dubai and Thailand.
More than 400 exhibitors have signed up, according to organisers.
The programme’s sessions include an exploration of disruptive ideas to successfully reinvent the business conference; an insight into the secret of international representation in Latin America; and a study into medical meetings management and ethical challenges for meetings professionals.
Among those speaking is futurist Vito di Bari, Olivier Frenette from C2 Montreal, Arnaud Drijard of Moveo Lab, Lisa Aquino from Encore Productions and Juan Carlos Lozano of Creatividad.
IBTM Americas is the result of the amalgamation of IBTM’s Latin American event with its North American event. The decision to merge the two events was taken in 2017.
