International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has been recognised at the 2024 New South Wales (NSW) Sommelier’s Wine List Awards for its selection of premium local wines. Receiving special credit is ICC Sydney sommelier William Wilson. Held at New South Wales Parliament House, the competition was judged by Dane Richards, editor of News for the Food Lover and Dom Sweeny, writer and editor. ICC Sydney has distributed over 400,000 bottles of local wine at events since its opening in December 2016, generating A$13m (€7.8m) for NSW food and wine producers in 2023/24 alone. Geoff Donaghy, ICC Sydney CEO, commented: “ICC Sydney takes pride in celebrating the finest produce of our state. We are honoured to present our 100% NSW Wine List to our delegates on a global stage, showcasing the very best that our state has to offer.” William Wilson, added: “We are proud to have been announced as a winner in the 2024 NSW Sommelier’s Wine List Awards amongst a total of 43 finalists. Whether our guests are attending a gala dinner or seeing a concert at our theatres, they can be assured they can taste the finest drops sourced from around NSW. “Our warm congratulations go to all the other category winners and finalists. Together, we’re excited to explore new ways we can champion local producers across our global platform.”
