Design experience agency Imagination is reporting a new phase of growth in Australia, fuelled by major client wins that has prompted the agency to expand its multidisciplinary team. The agency reports a slew of projects across automotive, tech, finance and agrifood, with landmark appointments to lead major global launches for both Nissan and Ford.

For Nissan, Imagination’s scope included the creative and production of the recent global reveal for the all-new LEAF, working in close partnership with the broader Nissan team on the launch. For Ford, Imagination was appointed as the agency to lead its historic 100-year celebration in April, held in Melbourne and attended by 1,500 employees and over 1,100 guests.

The event featured the global reveal of the new Ranger Super Duty, broadcast worldwide, and honoured Ford’s 100-year partnership with the Geelong Cats, the world’s longest-running professional sports partnership. “Centenary moments create powerful emotional connections, but the real opportunity lies in shaping the history brands are writing today,” said Alistair Wilson, managing director of Imagination Australia.

The automotive accounts add to the existing Australian organisations that Imagination works with on centennial projects, including the Commonwealth Bank and the Royal Australian Navy Fleet Review the Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience, and the NRMA Centenary and Westpac Group’s Bicentennial.

Imagination’s growth continues with a three-year strategic engagement with AgriFutures, delivering creative leadership, content, and production for evokeAG, Australia’s leading agrifood tech conference. At the same time, long-standing partnerships with Telstra, CommBank, and AWS continue to deepen, with AWS Summit Sydney recently crowned Best Brand Event at the 2024 Australian Event Awards. The team recently delivered their fifth Summit at Sydney’s ICC in early June.

These wins have triggered a significant uplift in investment across Imagination’s creative and experience studios, with the local team growing by more than 30% in the past year.

Imagination Australia’s Creative team is led by Dan Simon, who said: “Strategy, content, communications and delivery are built into how we work. For clients, that means less complexity, clear accountability, faster results, and cohesive experiences from idea to execution as we solve problems with strategically valuable ideas that drive real impact.”

Wilson added: “In a world shaped by rapid change and uncertainty, Imagination has stayed focused on our clients. We are investing in the talent and capabilities they need to stay ahead, building depth across consulting, communications, content, and creative. That is helping brands turn opportunity into action through experiences that create memories, shape culture, shift behaviour and drive growth.”
