Thailand attracted 38.27m tourists in 2018, according to the national Tourism Ministry, with Chinese travellers being the number one source of visitors. A big task is to train the cadres needed to boost the country’s business tourism sector. Now the Human Resources Department of Bangkok’s leading venue company, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., is collaborating with three top universities in Thailand to spearhead a certificate course, Kla MICE, which translates as “the new kid on the block” in Thai.
