The Jewel of Kedah, Langkawi, in Malaysia, welcomed 60 participants from Forward Realty Sdn. Bhd., a real estate agency in Malaysia, for its incentive trip, 8-10 November 2021. This is the first incentive group supported under Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau’s ‘Meet in Malaysia Campaign’ after the interstate travel restrictions were lifted. Forward Realty Sdn. Bhd’s incentives for its top achievers had previously (pre-Covid) always been overseas. This year, despite considering suspending the incentive trip due to the uncertainties caused by the pandemic, the company, thanks to the support from the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), was convinced to switch the incentive destination from Bali to Langkawi. Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud, CEO of MyCEB, said: “I am very proud to acknowledge the contributions, support and efforts given by our very own Malaysian real estate agency, Forward Realty together with Explorer Tourism Network Sdn Bhd who have decided to support our local economy by organising this trip to Langkawi. This certainly helps Malaysia’s economy in many areas; not just in the tourism business industry.” Daud added: “Since the announcement of the reopening of business events on 18 October, MyCEB has been receiving overwhelming inquiries and support applications through our Meet in Malaysia campaign. We are pleased to see some corporates slowly regained the confidence to organise physical events once again.”
Incentives return to Malaysia
Malaysia welcomes groups back. Langkawi hosted 60 incentive travelers from Forward Realty in November 2021, marking the first group supported under the Meet in Malaysia Campaign after interstate restrictions lifted. The destination switch from Bali demonstrated renewed confidence in local events.
