Thirty-two buyers and suppliers attended marketing agency MICE-in-the-bag’s latest Insider Gathering, held at Spoon the Boat in Budapest. The tailored B2B gathering and workshop saw 17 buyers and 15 suppliers come from around Europe and, for the first time, also from the Emirates. The format followed previous MICE-in-the-bag events held in London, Stockholm and Florence, creating a one-stop meeting environment for delivery-ready suppliers and budget-ready buyers of MICE. Venue Spoon the Boat is a 75m boat restaurant moored beside Budapest’s Chain Bridge. The gathering had a theatrical twist and ice-breaker with actor, James Coakes, director of Organize Events, playing the role of a Scotland Yard detective, and challenging the audience to solve a murder case. MICE-in-the-bag founding partners Ayse Sabbatini and Rosy Burnie, provided attendees with some tips on how to successfully hit the market. The attendees attended a welcome dinner at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, and a final dinner at the Corinthia Hotel Budapest. They stayed at the Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget.
