The Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) platform, Interprefy has created a new division aimed at providing language and interpretation services to the Audio/Visual (AV) market. Headed by Mark Breakspear (pictured), former project manager at DLC Events in Dubai, UAE, the new unit says it will open up avenues for AV providers as well as their customers by providing access to remote language interpreters for any type of event or platform. The Interprefy platform allows live event attendees to participate from anywhere in the world by providing access to interpretation services as well as a remote support team. Breakspear brings more than 15 years’ worth of experience from the AV and conferencing industry, joining from DLC Events where he led the company’s simultaneous interpretation requirements. Breakspear worked on projects throughout Expo 2020 Dubai, many of which involved Interprefy as the chosen solution for simultaneous interpretation. He commented: “I’m looking forward to continuing my passion for language services and technology with a company that is growing as fast as Interprefy in both size and reputation.” Richard Roocroft, global head of strategic alliances at Interprefy, added: “Interprefy is thrilled to find someone with his [Breakspear’s] abilities, ideas and great attitude and we look forward to having him share his industry and combined service experience with our wider AV partner network.” Interprefy will be exhibiting its new AV services at Integrated Systems Europe in Barcelona, 10-13 May 2022.
