IRELAND – Tourism Ireland has officially launched its new meetings strategy, Ireland Means Business, at the international travel trade show, World Travel Market.

Aiming to increase the thoroughfare of business travel between Great Britain and Ireland for the upcoming year, the campaign promotes new developments in both the north and south of the island including Dublin Airport’s new terminal 2 and conference facilities, Aviva Stadium, and the Convention Centre, Dublin.

“Ireland is in a unique position to meet the predicament organisations will find themselves in over the next three or four years, that of supplying their staff with conferences, events, seminars and incentives in an ex-UK destination that offers quality infrastructure of conference centres,” says CEO of Tourism Ireland, Niall Gibbons.

Adding that the new strategy “sums up our determination but also illustrates and showcases to the British travel market and the British traveller how Ireland is a serious destination for leisure, short breaks or business leisure”.
