AMERICAS – ISES Live, the international conference for the global creative event professional, is to run a community outreach programme alongside its main conference in New Orleans during August 2015. The programme, created in conjunction with the SEARCH Foundation and Event Professionals Take Action (EPTA), will see a number of events taking place designed to raise money for the local community, which is still trying to recover from the effects of Hurricane Katrina which devastated the city almost 10 years ago. It will also contribute to a range of other initiatives across the events industry. The events include will include a SEARCH Foundation Lagniappe (a New Orleans word for ‘a little something extra’), a traditional New Orleans party down the river. Hosted by the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, guests will enjoy Riverboat themed décor, Louisiana cuisine, music and dancing and a charity auction. EPTA is also encouraging ISES Live delegates to ‘Stay and Work’ for a few days on a number of projects in the local community.
