It’s a kind of magic… IBTM Americas brings in neuro-magician

Neuro-magician and educator Rufus Wiena (pictured) has been announced in the line-up of speakers for this year’s IBTM Americas, which will take place 29–30 May at Centre Citibanamex in Mexico City. Will deliver a session on the vital role psychology plays in the art of persuasion and communication. A relatively new branch of cognitive neuroscience, neuromagic combines the disciplines of neuroscience and magic to understand the brain mechanisms that allow us to be deceived by illusions. In his session on Day 3 of the event, Wiena, who has appeared many times on TV, will explore topics including macro and micro expressions, body gestures, intuition, eye movement, pulse reading, the power of suggestion and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). The Knowledge Programme is incredibly important to this event as it supports event planners looking to learn about the industry’s hottest topics in the emerging South, Central and North American meetings and events market with the latest trends and cutting-edge information. “Rufus’s unique session will use some of the newest research into neuromagic to provide techniques and ideas that attendees can take back with them to their own businesses, and we are very excited to experience it at IBTM Americas.” Rufus will be one of around 26 other speakers on the show schedule of educational sessions, with future details to be announced. Organisers are expecting 350 domestic and international exhibitors, with 600 buyers so far confirmed from Asia, Europe, Canada and North America, as well as Latin America and Mexico.
