AMERICAS – Meetings, events and travel software specialist Lanyon has announced the summer release of its Smart Events Cloud at the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) conference in Orlando.
The product, designed to facilitate the planning and execution of events, offers a newly designed interface and navigation, and a new attendee management module.
Navigation is now based on the event life cycle, designed to simplify the meeting and event process into logically ordered key components.
A redesigned attendee management module for meetings and events, Lanyon claims, has made it easier to plan, design and manage the entire process from website, to theme builder through to registration and reporting.
Meeting planners can choose from a library of themes or edit a template to create a customised theme for their event. The theme designer feature automatically previews designs on desktops, tablets and mobile devices.
Lanyon Mobile is the new name of the former GenieConnect app, acquired by Lanyon.
Lanyon CEO David Bonnette says: “The summer release of the Smart Events Cloud marks a major milestone in our commitment to build world-class software that delivers proven value to our customers and the industry. We have put a particular focus on the user experience for meeting planners and designed the tools to be easy to use and mobile friendly. By streamlining everything from attendee registration, to sourcing hotels and powerful mobile applications, our software makes the planning and executing of meetings and events smarter and easier.”
Bonnette claims Lanyon’s solutions power more than 80% of the Fortune 100 and over 100,000 hotels around the world.
