AMERICAS – With the birth of HRH Prince George Alexander Louis to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this week in London, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) took to social networking site Facebook to welcome the new Royal prince.
Not shy to miss a marketing opportunity, LVCVA said it hoped the new prince would take after his uncle, HRH Prince Harry, whose partying in Las Vegas hit the headlines last year. “Congratulations on the royal addition. See you in 21 years,” said the LVCVA message on Facebook.
Known for its night time leisure activities such as gambling, cabaret shows and nightclubs, Las Vegas is also very much a convention destination with the total economic impact of meetings and conventions in the city in 2012 estimated at US$6.7bn.
