The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is ready to celebrate a milestone year for the 10th edition of its flagship event, Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2025. Set to take place 4-6 August 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, the event has grown, since its inception in 2014, into into a national platform uniting Malaysia’s Business Events community in a ecosystem of learning, collaboration, innovation, and growth.

MBEW returns this year with a culturally inspired theme, ‘Spicing up business events’, inspired by Malaysia’s iconic spice heritage. Organisers say the theme symbolises the diverse pillars of the local business events experience: Cinnamon for strategic planning Star anise for seamless execution Cloves for vibrant networking Cardamom for forward-thinking innovation.

MBEW 2025 will span three days and organisers expect to draw over 450 delegates. The event launches with BE Xchange on 4 August, a business matching segment that will feature around 40 exhibitors and 40 hosted buyers.

On Educational Days (5-6 August), the programme will include keynote speeches, expert panels, and breakout sessions designed to inspire, inform, and ignite collaboration. Topics will explore global trends, industry resilience, leadership strategies, and digital transformation in business events.

A key highlight of this year’s edition is the SPICE Market Networking Session, an immersive cultural experience intended to bring to life the vibrant spirit of the history of the Melaka Sultanate. This networking evening will aim to recreate the energy of Malaysia’s ancient spice trade, celebrating its multicultural legacy and hospitality.

Additionally, hosted buyers will have the opportunity to join technical visits to key venues and facilities. A special Hands-Only CPR course will also be available in partnership with the National Heart Association of Malaysia, in collaboration with IMU University and IMU Healthcare, as part of an ice-breaking session that promotes wellness.

Delegates will also be encouraged to participate in a series of wellness-focused activities, including basic health screenings, dental check-ups, and spine assessments at the IMU booth, designed to highlight the importance of community wellness as an integral part of the business events experience.

Organisers say that MBEW 2025 is now more than just an event; it’s a movement to build long-term capacity, capability, and connectivity within the industry. The idea is to equip professionals with real-world knowledge, promotes cross-sector engagement, and encourages innovation to future-proof Malaysia’s position in the global business events arena.
